Perfect Weekend so far
Today has been a perfect day. Hubby and I woke up and got our freak on. Then we went to TWH's volleyball tournament. It was the conference championship. They took 2nd place. My throat is raw from all the screaming and shouting - both encouragement and WTF do you think you're doing's (okay, I didn't say it that way). It was a great game. It really was. The team won the first match, lost the 2nd and the 3rd was hanging by a thread and holding your breath as you watched them stay close all the time but still losing. *sigh* But it was great! After the game we came home and I spent an hour on the computer checking email and whatnot while he had a bite to eat and a little TV. Then he started to work on his book. I helped him since he is not all that familiar with Word for Windows (he works on one of those suck ass Macs). I think he is realizing what a great tool Word is when used on its proper platform and not on a Mac. I had plans to get a lot of cleaning done while he was working, but that fell by the wayside because he had a lot of questions and was constantly calling me to show me this or that. But I didn't mind much. I did get some laundry done, the bedroom and bathroom both cleaned. That was progress. I have tomorrow and Monday home that I can work on the other rooms. Most of them just need a quick pick up, dusting and sweeping. No big thing...an hour or two and I'll be done. Then I can spend the rest of my time working on that 7 page list of mine! I hope to get some writing and website time in as well.
Hubby had to run to the office earlier to get some disks that he'd left there. While he did that I took a wonderfully relaxing bubble bath. I took a glass of white wine in with me; I put Norah Jones' CD in the player and just sank into the hot, bubbly water and felt like I was in heaven. I still feel that way. Hubby and I have really been connected to one another today; just really in sync with each other and what a difference that makes as to how your day goes. After my bath I put on his favorite scented lotion and body spray and fixed myself up just a little. *naughty smile* Then I went downstairs and made a wonderful dinner for two with candle light, smooth jazz in the back ground and a wonderful pinot noir to compliment both the dinner and the mood. He is doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen right now and when he is done we are going to settle into bed to watch all the shows I taped for us this past week.
How is your weekend going?
